At the beginning of August 2019, I took the next step in my coaching career by becoming a Master Certified Life Coach, getting to know some other awesome coaches and taking my coaching skills to the next level. This certification allowed me to meet the criteria for joining the thousands of other professional coaches in the International Coaching Federation. Basically, it means I'm legit.
What else is in the works?
I am finalizing the last few pieces of my first coaching program targeting AEC marketing professionals who want to advance their careers through the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) exam, a credential offered through the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). This is where my corporate skilz and experience meet my love of coaching. For the past few years of my involvement with SMPS Austin, as a committee member and board member, I've been devoted to improving the quality of our chapter's CPSM Study Group. My goal is that every single person enrolled in the program feels confident in being able to pass the exam and does on their first try - because this was not my experience. My experience was frustrating, lonely, intimidating, and filled with all kinds of mind game drama. I don't want others to be in this space.
Many of my marketing contacts from the architecture, engineering, and construction industry have reached out for advice on how to improve their local chapters' study groups based on what we've implemented in Austin. Based on this need, I have developed a six-month online study program that includes reading guides for each domain, a video introduction to each domain, a group overview call at the end of each month, AS WELL AS ten personalized life/career coaching sessions throughout the six month program. I will also make available to interested SMPS Chapters my reading guides to use with their own programs.
If this program is of interest to you, reach out through the Contact page or stay tuned here and on Facebook for future announcements. Enrollment will begin at the first of each month and we will move through one domain each month.
Coming up in 2020!
I am really excited to start this next chapter of Full Tank Coaching in 2020. I am in the process of becoming a Holistic Nutritionist which I hope to finish up by the end of this year (2019). I will use this certification to supplement my next coaching program targeted to Type 2 diabetics who want to get off their medications and need some support in making the life-altering changes required to do that.
And guess what? Most of our struggles and problems and drama (oh my!) with making these lifestyle changes are all in our head; we create our own obstacles to change. A little coaching can go a long way in overcoming our self-made drama so we can live healthier and longer lives - without all those stinky side effects from our medications. How do I know it's true? Because I've lived it and I'm changing it for myself. My personal goal is to be medication free by the end of 2019 (this goal doesn't include herbal supplements).
I love this next chapter because it feels like a great partnership between these two conflicting personality sides I have. While I love coaching and helping others feel better and reach their goals, I also love farming and ranching and healing the land through sustainable, regenerative, and organic methods. Alongside this program, I will be creating a Facebook page called Full Tank Farms in which I will highlight my gardening and farming adventures, talk about healthy foods and where they come from, and have conversations with other farmers, ranchers, herbalists, and the like who want to raise healthy foods and heal our land and broken food system. This next chapter appears to bring all my various personalities and interests together and I'm so excited to get it started. I have to admit, I've felt a little torn and like I'm trying to go in two different directions at the same time. This new coaching direction feels like my paths have joined again to take me more directly toward my life goals.
I am looking forward to sharing these new adventures with you! If you are interested in any of these new programs, please feel free to reach out. As always, I'm also available for general interest life and career coaching so don't hesitate to get in touch.
Until the next time, take care!
